"Beyond Behavior"
"Before you can understand a child's behavior, you must first understand what the child has been through."
This workshop is an invitation to see deeper, respond differently, and become the safe presence every child deserves. It focuses on helping caregivers, educators, and professionals understand how trauma affects children's behavior and development. The workshop emphasizes that challenging behaviors are often expressions of underlying trauma — not just willful misbehavior.

SW Atlanta Women's Coalition
Who We Are
The SW-Atlanta Women's Coalition was founded by Rev., Dr. Canzada Twyman, who is the Founding Executive Director of the Divine Exchange Ministry, Inc., a IRS 501(c)3 veteran owned Faith-Based Community organization. Accompanied by the unwavering dedication of Coalition Members and Supporters, on July 6, 2023, the SWAWC was successfully launched. We are a comprehensive, diverse group of dedicated women, striving to promote the awareness and well-being of women, girls, and families throughout marginalized communities.
What We Do
We serve marginalized communities by enhancing community awareness and attitudes on challenges such as substance use, mental health, suicide prevention, domestic violence prevention, spiritual wellness and more.
Why We Do It
Serving the community can guide many people to personal growth and development. The Coalition believes involvement in the community fosters a sense of belonging and connectedness with others who share similar values. Additionally, we believe it's our social responsibility, moral, and ethical obligation to reach back and give back to our communities to equip others to RISE UP!
How We Do It
Throughout the year, FREE professional ongoing awareness and prevention trainings are provided for community residents, adults, youth, and families. The trainings cover a multitude of topics, in which the community has suggested and or recommended.
Where
The Coalition training space is located at the One Resource Family Center (OFRC) located at 5903 Stewart Pkwy., Douglasville, GA 30135. However, we travel throughout marginalized communities, collaborating with local libraries, community organizations, and government agencies.

Community Strengthening Beliefs
The SW-Atlanta Women's Coalition Believes:
The process of strengthening communities involves fostering connections, enhancing resources, and promoting inclusiveness. Bringing people together and fostering relationships is a vital role within community strengthening.
Everyone has a role to play. We, the Women's Coalition, made a sound decision to operate in our role to collaborate and educate residents within marginalized communities.
Education is Empowerment. When people are presented the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, it enables them to improve their economic situation and enhance their quality of life, which strengthens community.
Suicide, Substance Use, Criminal Activity, Family Violence, and even Gun Violence, is PREVENTABLE!
